Let us introduce you to Ziko. A rescue cat whose story will touch you and whose patient wait for a forever home and safety will capture your heart.
He was found on the streets of Egypt in late August by Mahy Mahmoud Emergency Rescue Group and was suffering from an horrendously ugly, very large tumor on his tail. No, we will not distress you by showing him before MMERG undertook his rescue but trust us, this brave boy was suffering very much. But, let us tell you more about our boy Ziko.

Place For Cats sponsored Ziko’s tail amputation and post-surgery recovery at the The Vets Empire clinic where wonderful Dr. Ahmed Alghareeb removed Ziko’s tumor-ridden tail, neutered Ziko and provided vaccinations and other care. We are grateful to Mr. Alghareeb for his care of Ziko. Thanks to him the cat you see here is not in pain any more.

The Good News
ZIKO has recovered beautifully, and really is a handsome fella. Now what does he need? Ziko needs either a foster person, or an adopter to step forward to embrace a wonderful cat who is simply grateful to be alive, safe and warm, away from the nightmare of life for cats in Egypt.
What Happens Next?
